- Preview/Open-House: Monday, January 5th from 12pm-5:00pm
- Auction Closes: Monday, January 5th beginning at 7pm
- Pickup/Removal: Tuesday, January 6th, Wednesday, January 7th, Thursday, January 8th, & Friday, January 9th from 10am-5:00pm.
IF YOU PURCHASED A FIREARM, pickup will be appointment only. If you show up without an appointment to pickup a firearm, you will be reminded to schedule a pickup slot. If you only purchased ammo/accessories, stop by anytime between the hours of 10am-5:00pm for pickup.
There will be a link in the invoice emailed to you after the auction ends that will allow you to choose a date/time for your background check. You will need to bring a current ID with your current physical address listed on the ID. If purchasing more than one handgun you will need to present your concealed carry permit.
Cost to transfer firearms is $15.00. The $15 fee will be added to your invoice. If you transfer 4 or more guns, the fee will be an additional $5 equating to a $20 fee. The $20 fee is only applicable to purchasers who are registering 4 or more guns at a time. Fees are applicable to VA state sales tax.
If you purchase more than (1) handgun and do NOT have a concealed handgun permit, Lucky Dog Auction & Realty will hold your handgun until 30 days have passed. The handgun must be paid in full and there is $15/month storage fee...
Out of State ID holders:
Please note: Virginia laws prohibit the transfer of handguns to out of state buyers. If you are not a Virginia resident, you will need to make arrangements to have your handgun shipped (at your expense) to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your state of residency to complete the transfer in your home state.
*Your ID MUST show your Current Physical Address - NO PO boxes. If your ID does not show your physical address you will need either update your ID or present two other forms of GOVERNMENT Issued IDs with your current physical address. Government issued IDs examples include, Fishing License, Conceal Carry Permit, Voter's Registration Card, Car Registration.
